Early 90’s, the Soviet Union is about to fall apart, and a miracle happens with Galka. A student of a regular provincial school is selected for a sports boarding school of the Olympic Reserve in Kyiv. Here, day and night, the best athletes are trained: athletes, fencers, football players, wrestlers, representing a powerful USSA at competitions and Olympics.
But not only that. In the sports boarding school, everyone is prepared for adult life…
“Galka Motalka” is a play by the famous playwright Natalia Vorozhbyt (“Cyborgs”, “Vij 2.0”). It includes facts from the author’s life. She played sports and studied in a sports boarding school. And yet, any coincidence with reality should be considered just a coincidence.
The play is performed in a real sports boarding school — I. Piddubny Olympic College.
