The Little Prince

October 21, 2020

The based on the work of Antoine de Saint-Exupery, staged by Radu Poclitaru modern ballet “The Little Prince” is set to the music of Mozart and Ukrainian lullabies.

It is a new reading of the story of the Little Prince, with his idea of the value of the relationship between two individuals, where each journey through a new planet is a deep understanding of the essence of personality. It is a story about the superiority of simple things and values over the bustle and complexity of the “adult world”, about the importance of childhood as the main period of human life. The new production of the Kyiv Modern Ballet theatre will remind adults that in everyday affairs, in the accumulation of material values, they forget about spiritual origins, which play an important role in the process of personality formation.

On October 21, 2010, OpenTheatre broadcasted the premiere of the play, which took place entirely online due to the quarantine restrictions.
